According to DailyStar, Just hours after their draw against Manchester City, West Brom is reportedly willing to sack Slaven Bilic.

Following an inspired performance from Sam Johnstone that could have eased pressure on their boss after defeats to Crystal Palace and Newcastle, the Baggies managed to go to within two points of safety.

It seems, however, as if the board may already have made up their minds about the former West Ham boss as they attempt to prevent an imminent return to the Championship.

“Since then, Bilic has responded to the speculation and insisted that he does not worry about his future by saying, “I enjoy my work very calmly. I’m not bothered (about speculation.)

“I’m doing my job. I’m working hard for the club’s players on my own. I don’t think about what’s going on behind the scenes.”

The Times claimed that despite their promising outcome, Bilic is “ready to become the first managerial casualty of the season,” citing Sam Allardyce as the favorite for the job.

Nigel Pearson, Mark Hughes and Eddie Howe are all listed as well.

After a draw at the Etihad that far less predicted, the timing of the news has come as a shock to many.

When Raheem Sterling did well to work his way to the byline and pull the ball back to Ilkay Gundogan, who expertly side-footed home, City took the lead on the half-hour.

But two minutes before the break, West Brom drew level when a shot from Semi Ajayi hit City defender Ruben Dias on the turn and deflected past wrong-footed goalkeeper Ederson.

During most of the second phase, the hosts camped in West Brom’s half, but the side of Slaven Bilic displayed immense determination and defensive solidity.

However, City had late chances—Kevin De Bruyne went close from a good position with a free-kick that West Brom keeper Sam Johnstone did well to hit, while Sergio Aguero blasted wide.

In stoppage time, Johnstone did well again to keep out a close-range Gundogan header and denied Sterling, who headed straight to the keeper, another great chance.

Pep Guardiola’s City is in sixth position after 12 games, five points behind leaders Tottenham Hotspur and Liverpool, while West Brom remains second-bottom.
