Will Iran be targeted by Israel?

Israel’s military

The Israeli military says it is making a variety of operational plans to attack Iran, but the allegations have been denied by Tehran as a ‘psychological war.’

Israel has warned that its preparations for a potential military attack on Iran are being revised, a provocation which Tehran has denied.

The Iranian presidential chief of staff said Israel’s top army general’s remarks were “psychological warfare,” adding that Iran was prepared to protect itself. Israel has long accused the Iranians of seeking a nuclear weapon to be built and endangering Israel’s stability.

Tehran disputes the accusations and retains the peaceful nature of its energy programme.

It urges the current US administration to rejoin the 2015 nuclear agreement which, in return for sanctions relief, limits Iran’s uranium enrichment.

Is this a true threat, or a “psychological war” as Tehran calls it?
